WRONG STOP WARNING

When dropping students off on an outbound (school to home) route, there are times when you will get a 'WRONG STOP' warning. Much like the wrong bus warnings, these exist to give you as a driver valuable feedback how accurate your stop locations are, and what students are unloading your bus in the correct location. 

Let's look at what to do when you receive a wrong stop warning:

YOU STOPPED OUTSIDE THE STOP RADIUS

If you stop TOO far from the actual GPS location of the stop (this setup by your router in their routing software, ALL the students at that particular stop may show 'WRONG STOP'. It's best to get as close at possible to where the safe stop location is, and let you router know there is an error to be corrected.

HOW TO FIX:

 

Let your router or transportation staff know that you are stopping in what you expect to be the correct location for a given stop, but you are still getting the warning. They might be able to adjust the stop location for you, provided it's a safe stop location.

This is mostly a matter of the driver disciplining the student, teaching them to follow whatever policy your district has established.

YOU DROPPED A STUDENT OFF AT STOP 1 ON YOUR ROUTE INSTEAD OF STOP 2

Student's will try to get off with their friends, with some students trying to change their stop up each day! When they try to unload at a different stop than what they are assigned,

WRONG STOP REPORTS

Remember: your transportation supervisors have visibility on exactly when and where you unloaded your students. They should be able to aid you in correcting these WRONG STOP unloads.
