SEARCHING FOR STUDENTS
Occasionally you may need to load a student onto your bus and they do not have a SMART tag. Normally you would 'Manually Load' them, as described previously. However, there are times when a student is not listed on your roster. This can happen when new students are added to your route, routes change, etc. We try to make things as quick as possible to 1. Search for 2. Locate and 3. Load -- a student not currently shown on your route.
Here's how to search and load a student onto your bus:
While on the Routes/Rosters screen, check the box to Include
Inactive Riders.

Include Inactive Riders Check Box
This will expand the list to include riders who have not ridden in the last 2-4 weeks, depending on your district setting.
If you find their name, you can tap 'Load' just like you would when manually loading a student.
An Inactive Rider is a student that has not ridden on the bus for the last 2-4 weeks, depending on your district.
While on the Routes/Rosters screen, tap the options button.
OPEN THE OPTIONS MENU

Tap the middle option, 'Find Student' to start your student search.
GO TO THE FIND STUDENT PAGE
If the student name still did not display after checking the box to Include Inactive Riders...
Next you'll need to ask the student for their grade. Tap the appropriate grade to move on to search by their name
ASK THE STUDENT FOR THEIR GRADE
select the student's grade
Now, start typing the first 3 letters of the students FIRST name.
TYPE FIRST 3 LETTERS
type student's first name
After typing the first (3) characters, the student's name should display. Tap on the student name to load them.
STUDENT NAME SHOULD DISPLAY
confirm name to load
If the student's name has any special characters, like (') apostrophes, you don't have to type those. Simply type the alpha-characters in the student's name.
STUDENT NAME SHOULD DISPLAY
Now tap 'Load' just like you would when manually loading a student.
TAP LOAD TO FINISH
